The typical Idaho resident has 8.25 square feet of storage space – more than people in any other state and slightly more than the U.S. average of 8 square feet per capita. Montana ranks No. 2, with 8 square feet per capita, and Wyoming has the third-highest per-capita rate at 7.35.
